Prof Thomas STEIN is Senior Professor at Berklee College of Music in Boston, as well as an international musician, leading music educator, global music industry and educational consultant, and a cultural diplomat. In this lecture, he will discuss how students can expect a return on their investment of earning a college music degree to launch their music career. Bio of Prof Thomas STEIN

Prof Thomas STEIN is an international musician, leading music educator, global music industry and educational consultant, and a cultural diplomat. As a senior professor at Berklee College of Music in Boston, he has taught thousands of students, many who have gone on to illustrious music careers, winning GRAMMY awards, recording hit records, and touring the globe to give concerts. He earned his Bachelor of Music in guitar performance, arranging, and music business with top honors at Berklee College of Music, and his Master of Music in Jazz Studies, Performance on electric bass from New England Conservatory. He has been on faculty at Berklee since 1988 where he’s taught courses in music theory, improvisation, ear-training (solfege), arranging, music production, music education, and music business.  

Prof Thomas STEIN produces concerts and is a proficient arranger and producer of high-profile events. In 2014 he produced and presented a concert series representing the music of the United States in Shanghai, China, at the Shanghai Concert Hall in People’s Park.
